As I sit here and write this, most of the year is in the rear view mirror and 2019 is looming in the distance ahead. Another year gone and another one upon us, just like that. Looking back at the past year, I am so proud of what I and the ones I love accomplished. I succeeded in harvesting my first archery black bear. Something that I have been working towards for years. My wife has been full time with her photography business (http://www.pmaphotography.com) for a full year. Watching her quit her job and lay it on the line is nothing short of inspiring to me to chase my goals.

Goals are a big topic right about now. People are thinking about their New Year’s Resolutions. Maybe, you want to start a new diet and get in shape? Or get that dream job you’ve been drooling over. The chase for peace and prosperity is always high on the list. Whether it is this or that, grab the bull by the horns and do it. Oftentimes, the only thing that is holding us back from achieving our goals is us. Believe in yourself and you will crush anything in front of you.

As for me, I do chase all of the typical things mentioned above. Fitness for example has become more of a life goal for me, rather than something less. Since I started looking at it like that, I enjoy it a lot more. A life routine if you will. Besides that though, I want to be more positive in the new year. I want to try to not look at the negative side of things so much and stop complaining about things that don’t deserve complaining. Being the best husband, bowhunter, writer, and photographer that I can are all things that are on the top of my list. I want to write more than I ever have and deliver the best content that I can. Pushing my limits in the field, chasing my goals, and living my best life.

It’s hard to believe that another year has flown by. Feels like just a few months ago that I was writing something similar to this and reflecting. As I’ve gotten older, it seems that the hands of the clock turn a little quicker each year. I don’t know why that is. Maybe, we are more aware of time as we grow? Maybe, time flies when you’re having a great time? Whatever it is, I hope that Father Time doesn’t get in too good of shape and make things pass by at a pace I cannot see.

So, now it’s your turn! I want to hear your goals for the New Year! Drop them down below in the comments. Also, I want to thank you for another year of support! The fact that you all take the time to read what I write means the world to me. Let’s make 2019 a great year! Now let’s hear your goals!
